We walk this vast land
with our might at hand
as if it were ours
as if none bothers.

Arrogant bunch!

A little over sunned,
a little over rained,
remindings of our place
mere users of this earth!

Not sufficing geology
to bring history to peace,
not sufficing physics
to bring earth to its sphere.

Arrogant bunch!

You need divine sent
message to reaffirm?
Well let it be these rains
these droughts and changes.

Let mother nature clue
you in its infinite impartiality
in equations language
what little we can handle.

Arrogant bunch!

Engineering from our genius
the tiniest to the humongous,
available to those that trust
natures whispered theorems.

The beauty of our triumphs
the grandness of our brilliance
all pale to our ignorance,
yet measure our cognition.

Arrogant am I!

After so much schooling,
impinging so much scolding!
Speculation, doubt or suspicion
challenge science into knowledge.

Our limit lies alone
in that we lay alone
on our ability to perceive
on our faculty to conceive.

Arrogant are us!

To dismiss that ignorance
is not fought by the few
learning exceptionally
but for all to conquer or perish.

Flat is the earth of those
who otherwise not comprehend
and it is to blame only us,
privileged unwilling to explain.
